She touched all of our lives in so many ways. Spunky and lively until the end, Patty was always up for a challenge. If there was a beach, they probably visited it and enjoyed the sun and fun as often as they could. Patty fondly remembered her vacations with her husband Phil. When Patty wasn't with family or working in the yard (nobody disliked dead leaves more than Patty), she took long shopping trips with her daughter Jeta. Through retirement Patty loved spending time with and caring for her children and grandchildren (just ask her grandson's about her world famous "toast"). Sons Darron Locke (wife Vicki) Kevin Locke (wife Tania) Kurt Locke (wife Brenda) and her daughter, Jeta (Henry) Hall (husband Tré). Patty is survived by her brothers Ronald Mitchell (late wife Shirely) and Keith Mitchell (wife Joan). Patty was preceded in death by her parents Gertrude and Boyd Mitchell of Hornet, Missouri, her husband Phillip (Phil) Henry of Joplin, Missouri, and her sister Jacquelyn Mitchell Krusemark of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She retired from Household Finance as a loan officer in 2001. Patricia (Patty) Rae Henry was born September 18th, 1937, in Hornet, Missouri, and graduated from Seneca High School. She loved her two boys dearly and loved being "Jamma" to her grandson, Cade. ![]() During the off-season, most weekends were filled with family game nights where she would often lose at dominoes because she had "lots of dots." There was never a shortage of Sonic ice, as Julie could always be depended on to bring a bag to any social gathering. Every weekend of football season was spent together with loved ones, cheering on the Sooners, watching NFL games, and always cheering against Tom Brady. If an OU team was playing, you can guarantee Julie was watching.Ībove all, Julie enjoyed spending time with her family. Julie was the definition of "Sooner born and Sooner bred." She was a season ticket-holder for not only the University of Oklahoma football games, but also women's basketball, women's gymnastics, and attended as many other sporting events as she could. She loved to make people feel special and important. Julie would call herself the office party planner - she enjoyed coordinating baby and wedding gifts, planning office lunches for people's birthdays, and coming up with ideas and games for the annual Christmas party. She began working at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she worked in financial services for 23 years before retiring in May of 2023. In 1992, they welcomed twin boys, Drew and Chad, and their family was complete.Īfter Shane's death, she moved to Norman, OK, in 2000 to be closer to family. After graduating college with her bachelor's in business administration, Julie worked at First State Bank of Commerce. On August 1, 1984, she married Shane Ehrhart of Miami, OK. She loved being active and spent most of her childhood in dance. Julie was born in Miami, OK, and raised in Commerce, OK. She was welcomed into heaven on September 27, 2023.
